In this fun, flavour-packed class, you’ll learn the essential techniques behind great Chinese and Indian takeaway cooking. From high-heat wok skills and velveting meat to layering spices, balancing sauces, and building deep, satisfying flavour.


Lilian will share insider tips, smart shortcuts, and restaurant-style techniques to help you confidently recreate classic Fakeaway favourites at home with ease.


You will learn:

  • How to achieve smoky wok flavour at home

  • The secrets to tender, flavourful meat marinades

  • Balancing sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavours

  • Rice cooking and spice-infused pilau techniques

  • Stir-frying with speed, confidence, and timing

  • Presentation and plating ideas for sharing-style meals

This is a hands-on cooking session with everything provided - ingredients, equipment, and aprons. After the class, we’ll sit down together to enjoy our creations, and you’re welcome to bring takeaway boxes for any leftovers. Asian tea and cucumber water will be served throughout the day, and there is free parking on site.
