An interesting combination of dishes to reflect the style of cuisine and races in both countries. Lots of stories of origin, local eating etiquette, and cooking tips to share with you.

You will be welcomed with a freshly shaken

Blushing Dragon 

A build-up of cloudy apple, orange juice, and pineapple juice with a swirl of grenadine syrup whooshing through.

You will learn:

- Knife sharpening and cutting skills

- Vegetable carving for garnish

- Presentation and plating skills

Recipes on this course may include:

Singapore Chicken Satay

How does one keep the chicken moist, tender and flavourful? A brilliant addition to your summer barbeque repertoire.

Peanut Sauce

Is there a difference between the peanut sauce in each country? All shall be revealed for this simple yet authentic tasting recipe.

Roti John

Who is this John person anyway? The tale will follow this dish, which is sometimes called Singapore’s version of the burger.

Malaysia Nasi Lamak

Literally translated to ‘rice fragrant’, some call it coconut rice or fatty rice! We will cook the all-important chilli sambal and serve it up with its’ popular accompaniments of eggs, little fried anchovies, peanuts and cucumber.

This is a practical interactive cookery session, remember to bring your takeaway containers to bring home your masterpieces to show off your new skills!  All the ingredients, equipment, recipes, and a working apron will be provided. Asian tea will be served throughout the class.
