This relaxed and joyfully messy hands-on class celebrates the dishes everyone loves to devour. You will explore bold flavours and fun techniques from across Asia, mixing, rolling, wrapping and tossing your way through an irresistible selection of comfort foods.


You will learn:

  • Essential knife sharpening and cutting skills

  • Different dumpling folding styles and sealing techniques

  • How to cook noodles for the perfect texture

  • Balancing bold Asian flavours and sauces

  • Wok cooking techniques for smoky depth and flavour

  • Tips and techniques to confidently recreate the dishes at home


Your experience:                           

You’ll be warmly welcomed with a freshly shaken Red Lantern mocktail.


Recipes on this course may include:

  • Sichuan Dan Dan noodles – springy wheat noodles tossed in a rich sesame-chilli sauce with minced pork and a gentle numbing peppercorn oil

  • Thai siew mai – steamed pork dumplings with crispy garlic

  • Singapore laksa dumplings - juicy dumplings in an aromatic coconut laksa sauce

  • Hong Kong noodles - wok-smoked egg noodles with chicken and vegetables, fragranced with Shaoxing wine

This is a hands-on cooking session with everything provided - ingredients, equipment, and aprons. After the class, we’ll sit down together to enjoy our creations, and you’re welcome to bring takeaway boxes for any leftovers. Asian tea and cucumber water will be served throughout the day, and there is free parking on site.
