Wow, I’m impressed!

I had five men join my dim sum class last Saturday — quite unusual, as they normally gravitate towards curry, barbecue, Thai or Chinese cooking classes.

I’ll be honest, I gave this class a bit more thought than usual… wondering if I should demonstrate a more “robust” (and less delicate!) approach to crimping the four dumplings we’d be making.

How wrong I was!

These gentlemen — along with the ladies — were fantastic. The dumplings were beautifully crafted, looked impressive, cooked to perfection, and tasted absolutely delicious.

Proof that dim sum is for everyone 🥰

We had so much fun — a truly lovely session all round.

Next up: we’ll be mastering wok skills and learning the techniques behind some Chinese classics in our upcoming class on 22 April.
