ABOUT LILIAN

Lilian Hiw is an award-winning private chef, cookery teacher, food columnist and cookbook author, celebrated for her vibrant Asian flavours and elegant presentation. Born in Singapore and classically trained at L’École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, she blends Asian heritage with European technique to create cuisine that is both authentic and approachable.

Known for her engaging teaching style and her ability to demystify Asian cooking using simple, everyday ingredients, Lilian inspires confidence in cooks of all levels. Whether hosting an intimate dinner or leading a lively class, she brings passion, precision and a love of Asian flavours to every experience.

COOKERY SCHOOL

Her cookery school, Lilian’s Kitchen, has been recognised as Cookery School of the Year. Through hands-on workshops and immersive culinary experiences, Lilian teaches the techniques, flavours and traditions behind some of Asia’s most loved dishes in a way that feels approachable, relaxed and enjoyable.

Lilian also delivers live demonstrations at food festivals, cookery schools and cultural events throughout East Anglia, sharing her expertise with audiences of all experience levels.

PRIVATE DINING

Lilian has been honoured as Private Chef of the Year by the London & South East Prestige Awards. Her private dining experiences combine refined presentation with bold Asian flavours, creating relaxed yet memorable occasions for guests to gather and celebrate.

Alongside the food, Lilian shares the stories, traditions and dining customs behind each dish, creating an immersive experience that brings guests closer to the culture, heritage and flavours of Asia.
